DJI Mic 2 camera adapter is a specially designed hot shoe adapter for use with DJI Mic 2 and Sony cameras.

DJI Mic 2 connects to the camera via the camera adapter, allowing for digital audio recording and providing power to the DJI Mic 2 receiver. The camera adapter offers a more convenient installation method, and its utilization of digital audio effectively addresses the problem of electrical noise often encountered with Sony cameras.

If you use a Sony camera with DJI Mic 2 for recording, we recommend using the dedicated DJI Mic 2 camera adapter*.

* The Sony Hot Shoe Adapter cannot be used with DJI Mic 2.

Camera power supply: The hot shoe adapter carries the receiver, and the camera supplies a 73 mA electrical current to the hot shoe.

💡[Tips]

1. The DJI Mic 2 camera adapter is exclusively compatible with Sony cameras that support the Mi hot shoe. For specific compatible models, please consult the compatibility list

If the camera adapter is connected to the camera and a prompt indicates that the camera is not compatible, it may also indicate that the camera does not support Mi hot shoe, which leads to the inability to recognize the DJI Mic 2 camera adapter. In such cases, it is advised to utilize a 3.5 mm camera cable for connection instead.

FAQs

1. What are the differences between using the DJI Mic 2 camera adapter and using a 3.5 mm camera cable to connect to a Sony camera?

DJI Mic 2 connects to the camera via the camera adapter, allowing for digital audio recording and providing power to the receiver, while DJI Mic 2 connects to the camera using a 3.5 mm camera connection cable, enabling analog audio recording and achieving the "Powering on/off Camera Simultaneously" function.

The DJI Mic 2 camera adapter exclusively supports digital audio signals, whereas the Sony hot shoe facilitates the switching between analog and digital audio signals. Meanwhile, Sony's camera hot shoe adapter cannot be used with DJI Mic 2.

2. Can the DJI Mic 2 camera adapter be used with DJI Mic?

No.

3. When I connect DJI Mic 2 to my Sony camera using a DJI Mic 2 Camera Adapter instead of a 3.5 mm camera audio cable, the volume of the recorded audio varies. How do I address this issue?

Follow the Instructions on Recommended Gain for Camera Setup on DJI's official website to set the gain of the receiver and the camera to the recommended levels. With the recommended gain settings, the volume of recorded audio remains consistent regardless of whether a DJI Mic 2 Camera Adapter or a 3.5 mm camera audio cable is used.

DJI Mic 2 Camera Adapter features digital audio recording, where only the Transmitter Gain setting is effective. The Receiver Gain setting is not applied. If the audio volume is too low to meet your requirements, increase the value of Transmitter Gain or increase the gain in post-editing software.

4. Is DJI Mic 2 Camera Adapter compatible with Sony FX6?

No.

5. How long is the warranty period for DJI Mic 2 Camera Adapter?

DJI Mic 2 Camera Adapter has a 3-month warranty period.

6. What should I do if my camera does not recognize the DJI Mic 2 Camera Adapter?
