• Wi-Fi Connection and Parameter Settings

Wi-Fi Connection: Connect the aircraft directly to the DJI Fly app on your mobile device via Wi-Fi to control the aircraft using the mobile device.

Parameter Settings: After entering the DJI Fly app, you can set parameters for specific modes or modify camera parameters as needed. For more information on usage, please refer to the video below.

 

• Manual Control and Mode Switching

Manual Control:

- Takeoff: After entering the DJI Fly app, tap and hold the takeoff icon, then the aircraft will automatically take off.

- Taking Photos and Videos: Tap the Photo/Video icon to switch between photo and video modes. Tap once to start recording and tap again to stop recording in video mode.

- Landing: Tap and hold the landing icon will land the aircraft.

 

Mode Switching: Check the real-time view on the Controls page. The current shooting mode is displayed at the bottom of the screen. Tap to expand the option list and select the desired mode.

 

Please note:

1. When using the app control function, the aircraft does not support RTH. Please fly within a controllable area and within visual line of sight.

2. Do not fly over water when using app control.

3. When using app control, the max flight altitude of the aircraft is 30 m and the max flight distance is 50 m.

• Audio Capture via App

Voice Control: Say “Hey Fly!” to wake up Voice Control and then say voice commands to control the aircraft.

Recording Audio via App: Audio recording with the corresponding audio device will be triggered when the aircraft starts recording.

DJI Neo

DJI Neo can connect to the DJI Fly app on the smartphone via Wi-Fi to enable Mobile App Control.
1. Power on DJI Neo, then enable Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and location function on the smartphone. Tap Connection Guide on the bottom right corner of the DJI Fly app, select DJI Neo, then select Connect via Mobile Device, and then follow the on-screen instructions to complete connection.
2. On the Controls page, tap the mode list under the liveview, and select “Manual Control”.
3. Press and hold the takeoff icon until DJI Neo starts motors, takes off and hovers approximately 0.6m above the ground automatically. You can control DJI Neo using the virtual joysticks in the app. The left stick controls the flight altitude and orientation. The right stick controls the forward, backward, left, and right movements of DJI Neo.
💡[Tips] In Mobile App Control, all the functions for Palm Control are available. You can set parameters and perform Smart Snaps in the app. More functions such as voice control and audio capture via app are also supported.

• via Wi-Fi

Power on DJI Neo. Enable Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and location services on the smartphone. Tap “Connection Guide” on the bottom right corner of the DJI Fly app, select the device model, then select “Connect via Mobile Device”.

 

• Switching Modes

Check the liveview on the Controls page. The current shooting mode is displayed under the camera view. After tapping to expand the mode list, you can select the desired mode.

• Manual Control

On the Controls page, tap the mode list under the liveview, and select “Manual Control”. Control DJI Neo using the virtual joysticks in the app after it takes off.

 

• Audio Capture via App

- App Recording

In Mobile App Control mode, audio will be recorded by the corresponding audio recording device while DJI Neo is recording a video.

- Voice Control

In Mobile App Control mode, say “Hey Fly!” to wake up Voice Control and then control DJI Neo using voice commands.

DJI Neo 2

· Manual Control: The aircraft can be controlled using the virtual joystick in the app.

 

· Intelligent Shooting: With DJI Neo 2, you get intelligent shooting features like QuickShots and ActiveTrack.

 

· SelfieShot: You can use it for both single and group shots. The aircraft will automatically adjust its position and framing depending on the framing option you choose.

 

· Return to Home: Tap the RTH icon on the left side of the camera view in the app. When the pop-up appears, press and hold the RTH icon to start Return to Home.
