Scenario 1: DJI Mic Mini cannot record audio when it is connected to a mobile device.
Issue Descriptions
When the DJI Mic Mini receiver is connected to a mobile device, it may experience issues such as not being detected, not functioning properly, or not recording audio.
Solution
1. Please check if DJI Mic Mini is connected to the DJI Mimo app.
When adjusting parameters in the DJI Mimo app, audio recording is not available. To enable recording, please tap in the upper right corner of the screen to disconnect the device.
If the DJI Mimo app has been closed, do not reopen it when using the DJI Mic Mini, as the app will automatically reconnect to the device. If this happens, tap to disconnect again.
2. Check if the mobile device is in the compatibility list.
To check if your mobile device model is in the compatibility list, refer to DJI Mic Series Mobile Phone Compatibility List. We recommend using a compatible phone model for the best recording experience.
3. Ensure the mobile phone adapter is securely mounted.
① Not securely mounted; ② Securely mounted.

4. Check if the receiver is properly connected to the mobile device.
When the DJI Mic Mini receiver is properly connected to the mobile device, the status LED on the top of the receiver will remain solid. If it is blinking, the adapter may not be fully inserted. We recommend checking the adapter or trying to remove your phone case.

5. Test if the audio signal transmission is functioning properly.
Open your phone’s built-in voice recorder, start recording, and blow or tap near the transmitter’s microphone. Watch the audio waveform to see if it responds. Then, mute the transmitter to confirm the sound is coming from the transmitter, not your phone’s built-in mic.

If the issue cannot be resolved after going through the above steps, please contact DJI Support for assistance.
Scenario 2: The transmitter is unable to record audio when it is connected to a mobile device via Bluetooth.
Issue Descriptions
When the transmitter is connected to a mobile device via Bluetooth, the phone’s system camera, voice recorder, and some apps may not be able to record audio.
Solution
Theoretically, any mobile device with Bluetooth can connect directly to the transmitter, but whether it is able to use an external microphone for recording depends on the compatibility of the phone or app.
• The system camera of iOS devices does not support audio input via Bluetooth.
• Some Huawei devices can record audio via Bluetooth without any additional settings.
• On some Samsung, OPPO, and other devices, the system camera app allows you to select an external audio input device, so the transmitter can be used together for recording.
To check which mobile phone models support Bluetooth audio with the system camera or third-party apps for live streaming or video recording, refer to DJI Mic Series Mobile Phone Compatibility List.
If you need to record video, you can use third-party apps such as Filmic Pro, Protake, or others.
Scenario 3: DJI Mic Mini cannot capture audio when it is connected to a camera.
Issue Descriptions
DJI Mic Mini cannot capture audio when it is connected to a camera.
Solution
1. Ensure that one end of the camera connection cable (3.5mm TRS) is inserted into the output port of the DJI Mic Mini receiver, and the receiver status LED remains solid.

2. Ensure the other end of the 3.5mm TRS cable is connected to the camera’s microphone input. Do not connect it to the headphone (monitoring) jack. Check if the camera prompts that a microphone is connected.

3. If the camera detects the receiver but there is no sound in the video, check the gain settings on the DJI Mic Mini receiver (RX) and make sure the camera’s recording level is not set too low.
4. Connect a USB-C headphone to the camera via USB-C port, then speak to the transmitter. If you cannot hear any sound, there may be an issue with the receiver’s port. It is recommended to send the receiver back for inspection. Click here to submit Online Repair Request.
Note: DJI Mic Mini does not support real-time monitoring. Connecting headphones may cause electrical noise in recordings. Ensure the USB-C port is free of any connected devices while recording.
