2. Preparing Your Device

2.1 Device Compatibility

▸ Check the phone and tablet compatibility list  to learn about compatible mobile device models.

 

2.2 Device Charging

Open the USB-C port cover, and use the included charging cable to connect the USB-C port to the charger.

2.3 Powering On/Off

▸ Press and hold the camera button to power the camera on or off.

▸ Press and hold the vision dock button to power the Multifunctional Vision Dock on or off.

▸ When the camera is attached to the vision dock, press and hold the camera button or the vision dock button to power both devices on or off.

 

2.4 Connection and Activation

For first-time use, the camera should be activated in the DJI Mimo app. Download the app here.

Enable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on the mobile device. Open the DJI Mimo app, tap the camera icon on the home screen, and follow the prompts to connect and activate the camera.

 

2.5 Firmware Update

A prompt will appear in DJI Mimo when new firmware is available after the camera is connected. Tap the prompt and follow the on-screen instructions to update the firmware for the best experience.

3.3 Shooting Settings

3.3.1 Setting the Shooting Mode

Swipe left or right on the screen to enter the mode switch page.

 

3.3.2 Setting the Shooting Parameters

Various parameters can be adjusted in different shooting modes.

 

3.3.3 Setting the Image Parameters

In the liveview, tap the parameter adjustment icon to modify image settings and other parameters.

 

3.4 Auto Recording

When the camera is powered off, it automatically starts recording based on the preset actions or intervals.

 

3.5 Underwater Usage

For diving, it is recommended to use the DJI Nano together with the DJI Floating Handle.

 Precautions:

The camera can be used underwater at a depth of up to 10 meters.

The Multifunctional Vision Dock cannot be used underwater. Please remove the vision dock before using the camera underwater.

 

3.6 Footage Playback and Transmission

3.6.1 Storage Space

The camera comes with 48GB or 107.6GB of available internal storage* and supports microSD card expansion. Click to view the list of compatible microSD cards.

Note: Osmo Nano is available in two versions: 64GB (48GB available) and 128GB (107.6GB available). The two differ only in their built-in storage space.

 

3.6.2 Footage Playback

Tap the playback icon on the screen to access the playback page and view your captured footage.

3.6.3 Transferring Files

After shooting, you can transfer the footage to a microSD card, mobile device, or computer for saving and backup.

1. Does Osmo Nano support live streaming?

A: No.

 

2. Is Osmo Nano waterproof?

A: The camera is waterproof up to a depth of 10 meters, and when the vision dock is attached to the camera, the entire system achieves IPX4-rated splash resistance.

 

3. Can Osmo Nano directly save footage to a microSD card?

A: Saving footage directly to a microSD card is not supported. However, you can quickly transfer footage from the camera to the microSD card to free up storage space.
