What preparations should be made before using DJI ROMO device after repair or replacement? What should be noted when using the device? You may refer to this article for assistance.
Step One: Pairing
If you replace the base station or robot, you need to pair the robot with the base station upon first use to ensure proper operation.
Note: If the robot and the base station are not compatible, error messages such as "Base station communication exception, please check the base station power supply" may occur!

Pairing Procedure:
Press and hold the robot's return button for five seconds. After hearing the robot pairing prompt, quickly press the base station power button ten times in a row. After triggering pairing, it will turn blue. Once pairing is successful, it will turn white.
Note: If the issue persists, you can try pairing the robot to the network first. After the app detects the robot, tap the start button on the top of the robot. After connecting the APP to the robot, upgrade the robot's firmware first before attempting to pair it with the base station.
Step Two: Rebuild the Map
Since in-factory repair testing may have resulted in changes or adjustments to your device's settings and parameters, we recommend remapping after you receive your device.
Mapping Steps:
1. Check the environment: tidy up debris such as cables and small valuable items, open the doors to areas to be cleaned, and if there are height differences like stairs at home, enable Cliff Detection.

2. Go to Settings - Map Management - Current Use - Rebuild Map (if there is a historical map)

Note: If multiple maps are present, you must turn off the "My Home Has Multiple Floors" switch before remapping.
Step Three: Consumables Management Settings
If your consumables have been replaced, you need to reset the consumables timer in the app.
The setup method is as follows: Enter the app homepage, tap the settings icon in the top right corner > Settings > Consumables Management, tap the corresponding consumable, select "Replaced", and reset the timer.

Step Four: Cleaning Solution Setup
For first-time use, it is recommended to perform a deep clean: sweep first, then mop, set suction power to strong, sweep twice, select the detailed route, enable floor cleaning with oil stain removal, and perform a fresh water mop afterward for a more thorough clean. However, please note that the cleaning process may take a relatively long time.
After the environment is clean, you can maintain daily cleaning by using the sweeping and mopping function. This allows for quick cleaning.

The following are common Scenarios and recommended settings:
Pet-Friendly Home Scenario:
We recommend using the default brush in the roller brush, which helps clean pet hair more effectively.
You can customize a specific area as a pet zone, and the robot will enhance the cleaning performance in the pet zone. In the cleaning plan, within the custom cleaning mode, floor cleaning enables disinfection (supported only by the P version), which can help reduce pet odors.

Carpet Home Scenario:
You can set an appropriate carpet cleaning strategy based on the carpet material in "DJI Home App > Settings > Carpet Cleaning Strategy".
Pressurized Vacuuming: Suitable for low-pile carpets, the robot will lift the Mop Pad and increase suction to clean the carpet.

Cross Carpet: Can be used for carpets that block the way. No cleaning is required, and the robot is allowed to pass through. Users can select this strategy.

Ignore Carpet: Continues cleaning using the current cleaning mode; recommended for carpets that require mopping.

In addition, you can also create Custom plans, dividing zones to only clean carpeted areas, or set carpeted zones as restricted areas.
Other Scenarios
You can also customize the cleaning mode, such as setting the floor cleaning to remove oil stains, using cleaning solution to moisten the mop for removing oil stains from the floor. Set single sweep or single mop. Define your own cleaning method according to your usage scenario.
