Issue Description

If a “Weak GPS signal” or “No GPS signal” warning appears in the DJI app along with any of the following issues (vary based on the model and app used).

DJI Fly: The GPS signal bar turns yellow or red (When “No Signal” is displayed, the number of satellites searched is 0).

DJI GO 4/DJI GO:The number of GPS signal bars is less than three, and the number of satellites is less than 12.

Possible Cause of Issue

The GPS signal is likely to be obstructed and interfered with by the surrounding environment. The GPS signal will be weak or lost if there is any obstruction above the aircraft, a high-intensity solid magnetic field, a metal object, or a high-voltage tower near the aircraft.

Solution

1. It takes about 1 to 3 minutes to search for the GPS signal after the aircraft is powered on.

2. It is recommended to launch the aircraft in an open, outdoor environment. In indoor environments, the GPS signal is likely to be obstructed, and the aircraft may drift, resulting in safety risks.

3. During the flight, please pay attention to the surrounding environment and keep the aircraft away from buildings, mountains, trees, and other places that may interfere with the GPS signal.

Tips

1. The aircraft automatically changes to Attitude (ATTI) mode when the vision systems are unavailable or disabled and when the GPS signal is weak or the compass experiences interference. In ATTI mode, the aircraft status indicator blinks yellow slowly, and the aircraft may be more easily affected by its surroundings, resulting in horizontal shifting. Some intelligent flight functions will not be available, and the aircraft cannot hover or brake automatically. Therefore, please land the aircraft as soon as possible in a safe location to avoid accidents.

2. Do not fly the aircraft in places with electromagnetic interference. Sources of electromagnetic interference include high-voltage power lines, transmission stations, radar stations, mobile phone base stations, television broadcasting towers, Wi-Fi hotspots, routers, and Bluetooth devices.
