What is QuickShots?

QuickShots is an intelligent flight function of the DJI Mavic Series, DJI Mini Series, and Spark Series drones. QuickShots shooting modes include Dronie, Rocket, Circle, Helix, Boomerang, Asteroid, and Dolly Zoom. The aircraft records according to the selected shooting mode and automatically generates a short video. The video can be viewed, edited, or shared to social media from playback.

Introduction to QuickShots Modes

Please use QuickShots at locations that are clear of building and other obstacles. If you are not familiar with the flight path of “QuickShots”, please do a short flight on the first attempt.

Dronie

The aircraft flies backward and ascends, with the camera locked on the subject, and records a video.

Spark Series: When using a mobile device via Wi-Fi, the default value is 40 m and the setting range is 10 m-60 m; When using with the remote controller, the default value is 40 m and the setting range is 10 m-120 m.

Mavic Pro Series: The default value is 60 m and the setting range is 10 m-200 m.

Mavic 2 Series: The default value is 40 m and the setting range is 10 m-120 m.

Rocket

The aircraft ascends with the camera pointing downward.

(The flight altitude varies based on different models.)

Spark Series: When using a mobile device via Wi-Fi, the default value is 40 m and the setting range is 10 m-45 m; When using with the remote controller, the default value is 40 m and the setting range is 10 m-90 m.

Mavic Pro Series: The default value is 40 m and the setting range is 10 m-120 m.

Mavic 2 Series: The default value is 40 m and the setting range is 10 m-80 m.

Circle

The aircraft circles around the subject.

The distance cannot be set separately, but the flight direction can be set.

Applicable products: Mavic Air, Spark Series, and Mavic 2 Series

Helix

The aircraft ascends and spirals around the subject.

The flight distance varies based on different models, and the flight direction can be set.

Spark Series: When using a mobile device via Wi-Fi, the default value is 40 m and the setting range is 10 m-75 m; When using with the remote controller, the default value is 40 m and the setting range is 10 m-150 m.

Mavic Pro Series: The default value is 40 m and the setting range is 10 m-150 m.

Mavic Air: When using a mobile device via Wi-Fi, the default value is 40 m and the setting range is 10 m-75 m; When using with the remote controller, the default value is 40 m and the setting range is 10-150 m.

Mavic 2 Series: The default value is 40 m and the setting range is 10 m-120 m.

Boomerang

The aircraft flies around the subject in an oval path, ascending as it flies away from its starting point and descending as it flies back. The aircraft’s starting point forms one end of the oval’s long axis, while the other end of its long axis is at the opposite side of the subject from the starting point. Make sure there is sufficient space when using Boomerang. Allow a radius of at least 30 m around the aircraft and allow at least 10 m above the aircraft. The flight direction can be set.

Applicable products: Mavic Air and Mavic 2 Series

Asteroid

The aircraft flies backward and upward, takes several photos, and then flies back to the starting point. The video generated starts with a panorama of the highest position and then shows the descent. Make sure there is sufficient space when using Asteroid. Allow a radius at least 40 m) around the aircraft and a space of at least 50 m above the aircraft. The flight direction and distance cannot be set.

Applicable products: Mavic Air and Mavic 2 Series

Dolly Zoom

This feature is only available in Mavic 2 Zoom. The Mavic 2 Zoom flies backward and upward. It adjusts the zoom during flight to keep the selected subject the same while the background changes. Distance setting is not supported.
