What is MasterShots?

MasterShots support automatic aerial photography and post-editing. According to the type and distance of the target, the aircraft automatically selects from Proximity, Landscape, and Portrait flight routes and creates a cinematic sequence of shots. After shooting is complete, the aircraft automatically edits the footage. Diverse templates are available for impressive videos with a single tap!

Using MasterShots

View the tutorial video to learn how to use MasterShots:

1. Entering MasterShots

Tap the shooting mode icon above the Shutter button to show more shooting functions, and select “MasterShots”.

2. Portrait

When a person appears on the Camera View, tap “+” on the camera view or manually draw a box around the target to enter Portrait mode.

After selecting the target, the estimated area and trajectory for the flight will appear on the map.

Tap to set “Start Point” to “Current Location”, and the aircraft will automatically determine the current position as the initial position (only in Portrait mode). After selecting the shooting target, manually move the control stick to adjust the relative position between the aircraft and the shooting target).

Based on the shooting environment requirements, you can adjust the width, length, and height of the shooting area. Tap “Start,” and the aircraft will start recording.

During recording, the aircraft will perform as follows:

Portrait mode: Zoom In/Out - Circle (Medium) - Circle (Close) - Dronie - Circle (Far) - Tilt up + Fly Forward - Rocket - Camera Down + Circle - Camera Straight + Descend - Camera Down + Descend

After shooting, the aircraft will return to its initial position.

3. Proximity/Landscape

When the selected target is landscape, tap “Start” to begin shooting. The aircraft will automatically calculate its distance from the subject, and determine a proximity or landscape shooting trajectory. The flight trajectory will be displayed on the map.

Proximity: Dronie - Circle (Far) - Tilt up + Fly Forward - Circle (Close)- Circle (Medium) - Rocket - Camera Down + Fly Forward - Camera Down + Circle - Camera Straight + Descend - Camera Down + Descend

Landscape: Dronie - Circle (Far) - Tilt up + Fly Forward - Roll + Fly Forward - Circle (Close) - Zoom In/Out - Circle (Medium) - Rocket - Camera Straight + Descend - Camera Straight + Circle

Exiting MasterShots

Tap “x” on the right of the DJI Fly app or press the Flight Pause button on the remote controller. The aircraft will then exit MasterShots and hover in place.

Notes: The recording will stop when pushing the control stick on the remote controller manually, the aircraft passes through a restricted zone or an altitude zone, or when the obstacle avoidance function is triggered.
