Circumstances in which linking is required

Brand-new aircraft have already been linked upon shipment. Therefore, you can use your newly purchased device without linking.

However, in the event of the following circumstances, please re-link the aircraft before use.

1. The aircraft may fail to connect to the remote controller if its firmware is incompatible or a firmware update fails. Please re-update the firmware and re-link the aircraft and remote controller before use.

Consult the content below for solutions to a firmware update failure: Aircraft Firmware Update Failure

2. If you have used the DJI Care Refresh replacement benefit, please activate and link the aircraft before use.

3. If the core board of your aircraft or remote controller has been replaced during repair, please re-activate the aircraft, and re-link it before use.

Refer to the following steps for more details about the aircraft linking guide:

Linking Tutorial

View the tutorial below for a step-by-step guide to linking.

DJI Mavic 4 Pro

If you purchase an aircraft and remote controller combo, the remote controller is already linked to the aircraft upon shipment. You can use them directly after activation upon powering on. In other cases, please refer to the tutorial video for linking.

• DJI RC Pro 2

• DJI RC 2 (Taking DJI Air 3 as an example)

DJI Flip

If you purchase a DJI Flip together with a remote controller, the remote controller is already linked to the aircraft upon shipment. You can use them directly after activation upon powering on. In other cases, please check out the video in the following.

• DJI RC-N3 Remote Controller: Requires connection to a mobile device. The tutorial uses DJI Neo as an example.

• DJI RC 2 Remote Controller: The tutorial uses DJI Air 3 as an example.

DJI Air 3S/DJI Air 3

Refer to the video below to learn how to link DJI Air 3S to DJI RC 2:

DJI Neo

• Link DJI Neo to DJI RC-N3

• Link DJI Neo to Goggles

DJI Mini 2/DJI Mini 2 SE/DJI Mini 4K

DJI Avata 2

DJI Avata 2, DJI Goggles 3 and DJI RC Motion 3 are already linked when purchased together as a combo. In this scenario, you can use them immediately after activation and powering on. Otherwise, follow the instructions below to link them:

• Linking the drone with the DJI Goggles 3:

• Linking the goggles with the remote control device

DJI Mini 4 Pro

The remote controller is already linked to the aircraft when purchased together as a combo. Otherwise, follow the steps below to link the remote controller and the aircraft after activation.
1. Power on the aircraft and the remote controller;
2. Launch DJI Fly;
3. In camera view, tap and select Control and then Re-pair to Aircraft. During linking, the status LED of the remote controller blinks blue, and the remote controller beeps;
4. Press and hold the power button of the aircraft for more than four seconds. The aircraft beeps once, and its battery-level LEDs blink in sequence to indicate it is ready to link. The remote controller will beep twice, and its status LED will turn solid green to indicate linking is successful.
