Osmo Mobile Series
The following instructions take DJI OM 4 as an example to introduce how to use the ActiveTrack function.
Method 1: Press the Trigger button to enter ActiveTrack.
1. Before shooting, adjust the shooting mode to Video mode.
2. Set the shooting parameters in the camera view, adjust the exposure, video resolution, and frame rate, and enable Glamour Effects. If the 4K resolution or 60fps frame rate is selected, Glamour Effects is not supported.
3. Press the Trigger button, and the gimbal will automatically track the object with obvious features in the central of the screen. When the camera view displays a green box around the subject, it indicates that the tracking target has been successfully recognized.
4. Press the Shutter button to start recording. After recording is completed, tap the playback icon in the lower right corner to view the video.
Method 2: Drag a box on the screen to enter ActiveTrack.
1. In the camera view, place the tracking target in the center of the screen, and then drag a box around the subject.
2. When a green box is shown on the screen, it indicates that the tracking target has been successfully recognized. Then press the Shutter button to start recording.
Method 3: Enable Gesture Control.
1. Tap the Gesture Control Switch icon on the right side of the camera interface to enable Gesture Control and select Follow & Shoot
2. It is recommended that the shooting subject be within 4 meters of the mobile device for successful recognition of the shooting subject’s gesture. Perform a palm or V gesture for to enable Gesture Control.
3. After successful tracking, recording will be automatically started, and the camera screen will prompt "Tracking".
Osmo Pocket Series
The following instructions take DJI Pocket 2 as an example to introduce how to use the ActiveTrack function.
Using DJI Pocket 2 alone for ActiveTrack
1. Power on DJI Pocket 2 and place the subject in the center of the camera view.
2. Double-tap the subject on the screen. If the subject is a person, the gimbal and camera will automatically recognize the face and enter the FaceTrack mode. If the subject is an object, the gimbal will enter the ActiveTrack mode.
3. Press the Shutter button to start tracking, and press the Function button to exit ActiveTrack.
Using with the DJI Mimo App for ActiveTrack
1. Connect to a mobile device through a smartphone adapter and launch the DJI Mimo app.
2. On the left side of the camera screen, you can set video parameters (video resolution and frame rate) and choose whether to enable Glamour Effects.
3. In the camera view, drag a box on the screen and a green box will appear around the shooting subject, which indicates that the recognition is successful.
4. Tap the Shutter button to start shooting. To exit ActiveTrack, press the Function button on the DJI Pocket 2 or tap X in the green box on the screen.
