FAQs
How do I troubleshoot if the connection fails when using QuickTransfer?
Android device
1. Ensure that the Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Positioning functions are turned on in the mobile phone settings.
Note: In some Android mobile devices, the app Wi-Fi permission can be set separately. Check the Wi-Fi permission setting for the DJI Fly app and ensure that the Wi-Fi permission is allowed.
2. Try to use the Fixed 2.4 GHz function in the QuickTransfer Band. Go to the DJI Fly homepage - "Profile" - Settings - QuickTransfer Band - Fixed 2.4 GHz. Attention: Not all mobile phone models have this function, if you cannot find this option, please skip this step.
Note: If the connection failure can be resolved by using this method, it can be determined that the mobile phone’s 5G band does not cover 5.8 GHz.
3. Restart the mobile phone and aircraft.
4. Try to rename the aircraft Wi-Fi name and restart it, the operation path is: connect the aircraft to the app successfully first, and then enter the image transmission interface and click 「··· > About > change the aircraft name & aircraft Wi-Fi name」.
Note: If you cannot find a stand-alone option to change the aircraft Wi-Fi name, please change the aircraft name.
If the issue persists after trying the above troubleshooting steps, please contact DJI Support.

Disconnection frequently occurs when using the QuickTransfer function, how can I fix it?
Android devices:
1. First, make sure that the mobile phone is connected through a VPN firewall.
2. Disable [WLAN+].
3. Disable [WLAN Security Testing].
4. Check whether there is signal interference in the same band in the environment.
*Android mobile phones come with WLAN+, WLAN Security Testing, and a smart network switch.
Smart network switch: There is a switch in the Advanced Settings of Wi-Fi Settings page in the mobile phone system. If the switch is enabled, the system will switch the smart network based on its settings. If the switch is disabled, auto switching will be disabled. This switch is enabled in the system by default and cannot be directly operated in the app.
Note: The switch entrance is different depending on the terminal manufacturer.
iOS devices:
1. Check the iOS version, a version later than v15.4.1 is required.
2. Check whether there is signal interference in the same band in the environment.
When using the QuickTransfer for connection, a message is displayed stating that “Drone might be occupied by other devices. Please connect after restart your drone”, how can I fix it?
Android devices:
1. If another mobile phone was connected to the aircraft using the QuickTransfer function, and the mobile phone is nearby, a possible reason for this message is that the aircraft’s Wi-Fi is occupied by the previously connected mobile phone. We recommend turning off the Wi-Fi on the previously connected mobile phone or deleting/ignoring the aircraft’s Wi-Fi. If the mobile phone cannot be found, please change the aircraft Wi-Fi name in DJI Fly and reconnect to it.
2. Try to restart the mobile phone and then run the DJI Fly app.
3. If your mobile phone is Xiaomi and the system version is MIUI12.5 or later, there are three ways for selection to resolve this issue:
① Go to “Manage apps” - “Network & internet”, and check “Wi-Fi” and “Mobile network”. Restart the app and try again.
② Go to “Manage apps” - “Clear data” - “Clear all data”. Launch DJI Fly again. Ensure that all permissions are allowed. (This operation will clear user data. We recommend backing up related videos and photos and uploading flight records before using this method.)
③ Download the latest version of DJI Fly.
4. Restart the drone and try again.
5. Manually set the IP address.
① In WLAN settings, find the Wi-Fi network of the drone, and manually connect to it. Enter the password and manually set the IP address.
Method to obtain the password: In case of connectivity issues with the DJI Fly screen and failure to retrieve the Wi-Fi password of the drone prompted, restart the drone. Once DJI Fly displays the Wi-Fi network of the drone, try to connect. Before the connection is successfully established, power off the drone to trigger a connection failure. Then, the Wi-Fi network name and password are displayed. Copy the password, and then restart the drone.
② Perform the following steps to set the IP address:
On the password input screen, switch the IP address type from DHCP to static. Then, the IP address is displayed as 192.168.1.xxx, where xxx represents a number. Manually enter 192.168.2.128 as the IP address. Additionally, adjust the router address to 192.168.2.1.
iOS devices:
1. Update the app to the latest version, and click to download the latest DJI Fly.
2. It is recommended to enable the [Local Network] in the Settings of the DJI Fly app, or try to clear the app caches (Remember to back up the photos and videos).
3. Delete the network of the aircraft from the Wi-Fi list on your phone and then reconnect.
4. Make sure that no other phones are currently connected to the drone.
5. Reconnect the phone to the drone.
6. Restart the drone and try again.
7. Test connectivity with a new mobile device such as an Android device.
8. Manually set the IP address.
① In WLAN settings, find the Wi-Fi network of the drone and manually connect to it. Enter the password and manually set the IP address.
Method to obtain the password: Restart the drone. Once DJI Fly displays the Wi-Fi network of the drone, try to connect. Before the connection is successfully established, power off the drone to trigger a connection failure. Then, the Wi-Fi network name and password are displayed. Copy the password, and then restart the drone. This procedure is specific to Android devices. For iOS devices, the Wi-Fi password is not displayed. In such cases, you can retrieve the password using an Android device beforehand.
